Get 6 CCA credits for Canola Watch exam

Certified Crop Advisors who pass the online Canola Watch exam will earn six CCA credits, including one for soil and water management. Your knowledge of 2010 canola production issues and solutions can be worth six Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) credits for 2010.

The Canola Council of Canada offers its online CCA Canola Watch exam, which is based on content from 2010 Canola Watch reports.

The six credits break down as follows:

• 1.5 credits in crop management
• 2.5 credits in pest management
• 1 credit in nutrient management
• 1 credit in soil and water management (New)

The exam must be taken by December 31, 2010 to qualify for CCA credits. To take the exam, go to http://canolacouncil.org/exam.aspx and enter the password: december147.

You need a grade of at least 70% to pass. No partial credits are awarded. You get six or zero. All answers can be found in the 2010 Canola Watch reports. The online archive is at www.canolawatch.org under the heading "Canola Watch Newsletter."

Carefully fill in the required personal information and be prepared to complete all 67 questions before logging out or shutting down the program. The exam could take less than one hour or more than two hours, depending on how much time you spend referencing Canola Watch reports.

The Canola Council of Canada will forward your grade to the Certified Crop Advisor Program.
